Devotional for Today, February 17

“Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” (1 Peter 5:6-7)

The Bible passage in 1 Peter 5:6-7 reminds us to humble ourselves under God’s mighty hand, acknowledging that we cannot handle everything alone. When we submit to God’s will and rely on his strength, he promises to lift us in due time.

It’s easy to become overwhelmed with anxiety and worry in difficult situations, but this verse also reminds us to cast all our anxiety on God because he cares for us. It’s a beautiful reminder that we don’t have to carry the weight of our problems alone. Instead, we can turn to God, who loves us unconditionally and desires to carry our burdens.

Give all Your Anxiety to God

It’s essential to trust in God’s promises and to have faith that he will guide us through every challenge. We must also remember that his timing is perfect, and he knows what’s best for us. Sometimes the answer to our prayers may not come immediately, but we can trust that God is working all things for our good.

If you trust in Jesus, be encouraged and hold onto the promise in 1 Peter 5:6-7. Humble yourself before God, cast your anxiety on him, and believe he will lift you in due time. Remember that God cares for you and will never leave or forsake you.
