Live up to God’s standards – Prayer for April 3. We are expected to live up to God’s standards. As we are made in his image and we are called out from darkness into light. We must then exhibit the character of Christ that is of God’s standards.
Bible Verse for Today
“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – his good, pleasing and perfect will.” (Romans 12:2)
If we must live up to God’s standard, we must dearly love him by obeying all which he commanded. God loves those who obey him. God also cherish those who love him, he doesn’t expect us to follow the worldly ways not because he wants to drag us to himself alone but because he does not want us to perish. The Bible stated it that we cannot serve two masters, one must choose Matthew 6:24 “No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other…” When we follow the worldly ways, God won’t be pleased with us. 1 James 2:15 “Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them.”
It is not always easy to live the God standard but there is always grace to back us up. We are not perfect, we make mistakes that may cause us to deviate from living the God standard but his grace will always be enough for us to stand. 2 Corinthians 12:9 say, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness…”
God’s Standards Prayer for Today
Thank you Lord for today, I thank you for keeping me alive.
If I have made mistake in any way that has made me live below your standard, Lord, forgive me.
I desire to live up to your standard by your grace, I want to live for you alone and serve you. Lord, help me to live up to your standard. Let all I do today glorify your name. Amen.
