Today, in our Daily Devotional for July 12, let’s explore how we are accepted in Christ and how this truth transforms our lives.
Daily Devotional for July 12
“But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” – Romans 5:8 (NIV)
Accepted in Christ
God’s Word includes many scriptures reminding us of His unconditional love. John 3:16, John 15:13, and Romans 8:35-39 all speak of the depth and breadth of God’s love.
According to Romans 5:8, while we were still sinners and before we cared anything about God, He sent His Son to die for us. This sacrificial act paid the price for our sins and made a way for us to live in close fellowship with Him.
The Gift of Righteousness
When we receive Jesus as our Savior, He takes our sins and gives us His righteousness. This exchange, taught in today’s scripture, is profound.
How can we fully comprehend what it means to be made right with God at no cost to ourselves? This glorious truth has the power to change the way we see ourselves as it sinks into our hearts.
Believing in God’s Acceptance
I challenge you today to believe that God loves and accepts you completely. He thinks highly of you, and through Christ, you are rightly related to Him.
Think or speak positively about yourself based on how God feels about you. This is not about pride but about being bold enough to believe you really are who God says you are.
In Psalm 139:14, David declares to God, “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” Many people struggle to believe such positive words about themselves, but I hope and pray today that you will believe them for yourself because they are true.
A Path of Transformation
Let this realization be the beginning of a new life path. God accepts you as you are, but His love compels you to grow and improve. He desires for you to give up your sinful lifestyle and become the person He created you to be.
Embracing this truth allows God’s love to be fully realized in your life.

Prayer for Today
Heavenly Father, thank You for accepting us in Christ and loving us unconditionally. Please help us to fully grasp this truth and allow it to transform our lives. Teach us to believe and declare that we are fearfully and wonderfully made, and guide us as we grow in Your love. May we walk in the righteousness Christ has given us and live lives that reflect Your grace and mercy. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
To You
Reflect on what it means to be accepted in Christ. How can this truth change the way you see yourself and live your life?
My brother, remember that God accepts you as you are but loves you too much to leave you that way. Embrace His love and let it transform you. Amen.
