Always pray, never give up – Prayer for August 3. Constant and regular prayer with all family members is the best example for our children. Teach children to pray in any situation, never give up thanksgiving, and glorify our Almighty God.
Bible Verse for Today
Praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. (Ephesians 6:18)
The importance of prayer can’t be overvalued. We can find many stories and testimonies of how prayer made miracles and changed the lives of those who prayed but also of other people as well.
Let’s look at the song “Lady Who Prays for Me” by Robert Hamlet. He wrote it for his mother, who prayed for her sons every morning. Once the mother heard this song, it touched her, and she also began to pray with her little son before leaving home in the morning. Children also started to pray together and told their friends.

In the letter to the Ephesians, Paul reminds us: “Praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication.” (Ephesians 6:18). It is essential that when we live in a family, we pray together with our children. Children learn to know God and to pray through close people – parents, grandparents, sisters, or brothers. There is no better way to emphasize the importance of prayer than to pray for and with our children.
In such a way, we show them a personal example and teach them to pray constantly. So they can experience for themselves and learn how important it is to turn to God personally in prayer.
Teaching children to pray daily is our best gift, which will be with them all their lives. We assure them that God is an integral part of our lives. God is always with us as a loving, guiding, caring heavenly Father.
Always Pray, Never Give Up Prayer for Today
Lord, help me to completely and entirely trust in you every moment and to live in the certainty that you are always with me. I know I am nothing without you, so I promise to pray constantly with my family to keep you close to us. Heavenly Father, only you can give my family so much love and care. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
