Follow God’s direction—Prayer for October 12. There are signs along the road of life. To stay under God’s protection, you must follow the signs that tell you to trust God and not worry.
Do not be afraid; be brave. Paying attention to the signs will help you stay in the right direction. You will experience the protection, peace, and joy only God can give.

“He holds success in store for the upright, he is a shield to those whose walk is blameless, for he guards the course of the just and protects the way of his faithful ones. Then you will understand what is right and just and fair—every good path.” (Proverbs 2:7-9)
However, if you ignore the signs, the road may get bumpy, and you may not be sure of your abilities. There may be some fear about the unknown things waiting for you around the next corner. You may even come off the path.

We do not need to be afraid because God wants to guard our path and keep us. So why should we waste time by ignoring the signs and starting to get scared when it does not help?

Father God, thank you for caring for me throughout my life journey. Thank you for guarding my path and keeping me safe. Holy Spirit, help me observe the spiritual signs that you have set for me on my life path. When I see them, I will obey and follow you safely through life. I promise I will follow God’s direction. I pray in the name of Jesus, Amen.
