Today, in our Daily Devotional for June 26, let’s reflect on the hope of heaven and how this assurance shapes our lives.
Daily Devotional for June 26
“He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” – Revelation 21:4 (NIV)
Hope of Heaven
Having faith that our destiny is heaven delivers us from the fear of death. Death is not an unknown nothingness but a graduation into better things than we have experienced on Earth.
The Bible describes heaven as a place of unparalleled peace and beauty, where we will live in the actual presence of God.
Our Journey to the Kingdom of God
Life is a journey, and we are pilgrims on this Earth. Our final destination is the Kingdom of God.
Jesus assures us, “I am going to the Heavenly Father’s house to prepare a place for you” (John 14:2). This promise is the foundation of our hope throughout life’s trials and uncertainties.
Eternal Life with God
Christians can truthfully say, “I will live in heaven forever!” Our earthly address will change someday to heavenly, but we will never indeed die.
What a joy to know that we have the hope of a beautiful, peaceful place where there will be no more tears, pain, or death. In heaven, we will experience the fullness of God’s presence.
Living with Heavenly Hope
This hope of heaven should influence how we live each day. Knowing that our ultimate home is with God in heaven gives us perspective and strength to face life’s challenges. It encourages us to live faithfully, love deeply, and serve generously, reflecting our eternal hope.

In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
