Trust in the Lord with all your heart – Prayer for October 28. Praise the Lord, everybody!

Sometimes, God will assign us a task that we think is above our “pay grade,” gifts, and abilities. In other words, we have a moment when Moses spoke to God in Exodus 3:9-11.

Bible Verse for Today

And now the cry of the Israelites has reached me, and I have seen the way the Egyptians are oppressing them. So now, go. I am sending you to Pharaoh to bring my people the Israelites out of Egypt.”
But Moses said to God, “Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites out of Egypt?” (Exodus 3:9-11)

Like Moses, we feel unworthy and ill-equipped for such a task. We begin to doubt not only our hearing but also God’s judgment. The enemy seizes the moment and begins to sow seeds of fear and doubt.

Just as God told Moses not to worry and that He would surely be with him, God wants us to know the same thing. So God tells us in His word, Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

God wants us to trust Him with faith, as David did when we faced our Goliaths. We know that God has our back and that He would not send us on a mission to fail. In Romans 8:37, He tells us that we are “more than conquerors.”

God wants us to stop asking Him, “Who am I?” and turn it around and declare, “Who am I?” in Him by standing up in faith and walking in our calling.

God wants us to trust in our gifts. He knows what He has invested in each of us and wants us to put them on display, not for our glory but His glory. God wants us to go from “WHO AM I” TO “I AM.” To quote Joel Osteen, “I am who God says I am!” Trust in the Lord with all your heart! God bless you all.

Trust in the Lord with All Your Heart Prayer for Today

Father God, we thank you for knowing who and what we are, even when we do not. Help us, Lord, to trust you more and not question you when you give us an assignment. Your will, not ours, will be done. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
