In today’s daily devotional for February 28, let’s talk about the liberating truth of the Power of God’s Grace in Weakness. Realizing this truth not only supports us but also encourages us to fulfill our divine calling and mission despite our fears, imperfections, and unfavorable circumstances.
Daily Devotional for February 28
“But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.” (2 Corinthians 12:9)
Facing Our Fears with Faith
Like Moses, you might find yourself listing reasons why you can’t pursue what God calls you to do. These excuses often stem from fear and a focus on our shortcomings. However, when you choose faith over fear, stepping out in obedience, you open the door for God to work mightily through you.
Seeing Yourself as God Sees You
How do you view yourself? It’s crucial to align your self-perception with God’s view of you as His unique and robust child. Confidence is critical to unlocking the power God has placed within you. Remember, your true strength lies not in self-reliance but in the power of God’s grace in your weakness.
Shifting Your Focus
If you dwell on past failures or weaknesses, know that this focus only amplifies fear, much like Moses initially felt. God’s grace, however, empowers you to move beyond your limitations, enabling you to accomplish His purposes despite them.
God’s Grace in Weakness
God wonderfully makes you for a particular purpose. Trying to mimic others only leads to frustration and a sense of inadequacy. Embrace who you are in Christ, and rest in the knowledge that with God’s help, you can do all things He calls you to do.
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” (Romans 8:28)
