Keep on trusting in Jesus – Prayer for July 8. When you face frustration or any form of disappointment, the right person to seek is Jesus. He is a good friend and trustworthy – he will be there for us. He calls us friends and not slaves so he will deal with us as friends.
Bible Verse for Today
I trust in you; do not let me be put to shame, nor let my enemies triumph over me. (Psalm 25:2)
No matter how difficult our trials are, we should trust God for deliverance. David put his trust in God and he was never put to shame. When we seek God in our difficult times, we should be sure he would deliver us.
When the three Hebrews trusted in God and refused to bow to the idol of the King – they were delivered. Deliverance is not just a physical thing, it is not ordinary – it is always something miraculous that requires the power of God. This is the reason why David had to turn to the Lord for deliverance.
Humility is very important to us as Christians. We can’t seek God with pride in our hearts, God hates it and he won’t even look at us. God is ready to listen to us, he wants to change things for the better for us but he is expecting us to humble ourselves.
David did this, he humbled himself, admitted he was a sinner and he asked for forgiveness. Another important thing is faith. God loves those that have faith in him because by doing that, you are pleasing him. If anyone must seek God, he must have faith in him. Hebrews 11:6 “And without faith, it is impossible to please God because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.”
Keep on Trusting in Jesus Prayer for Today
There is no one that I can trust Lord, every other people are also depending on someone, so I seek you today, I rely on you and I trust you will not disappoint me because you are not a man that fails nor a man that lies. I will keep on trusting in Jesus. Amen.
