ALIGN WITH GOD’S WILL Lent #day 3

Align with God’s will Prayer for Lent #day 3. We human beings, irrespective of who we are, have expectations, there are things we are hoping for. In this period of Lent, let us pray that our expectations shall not be cut short.

Bible Verses for Today

“For surely there is an end; and thine expectation shall not be cut off.” (Proverbs 23:18)

In this period of Lent, we should ask ourselves what we should expect from God? What are the things we should be praying for?

Many people worldwide are hoping for one thing or the other, but the difference between us and the rest of the people is that our expectations can never be cut off.

We cannot expect things that are not in line with the things of God.

Our prayers or expectations are not being fulfilled because we are praying or expecting something wrong, which is totally against God’s will. James 4:3 says, “You ask, and receive not, because you ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.”

We need to align our lives with God’s plan for us. That is the best way to start this Lent and end it gloriously. Are you ready to be purified by God? Are you more prepared than ever to become great in God?

This is the time to raise your expectations above superficial things. Philippians 4:8 says, “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.”

We are the children of the Highest; our expectations should not be something that will be superficial.

Many things can happen during this period; miracles and temptations will come. Different things will surface but if your expectations dwell on the Lord and you focus on Him alone for a great experience, then nothing will be able to stop you.

Bible says that the expectations of the righteous will not be cut off. But some people will be cut off because they lead wicked lifestyles and refuse to acknowledge God.

This Lent, we must try to stand in the ranks of the righteous.

Align with God’s WillPrayer for Today

Lord, I thank you for everything you do for me. Thank you for another season of Lent. Lord, I have great expectations and know that only you can make these things come true. I pray that my expectations will never be broken but will be fulfilled. If they conflict with your plans for my life, Lord, clarify them for me. Amen.
