Attitude of Faith daily Devotional for March 17

Today, in the Daily Devotional for March 17, “The Attitude of Faith,” we’re looking at faith not as a complicated theological concept but as something much more practical: an attitude. When we change our outlook, we change our capacity to experience God’s peace.

“For we who have believed enter that rest…” – Hebrews 4:3 (NASB)

Faith is an Outlook

We often try to measure our faith by how much we know or how hard we work for God. But a simple way to examine whether you are truly operating in faith is to check your “attitude.” Faith isn’t just a set of beliefs; it is a posture of the heart.

According to Hebrews 4, the hallmark of someone living in faith is rest. When we truly believe God is who He says He is, we cease from the weariness and pain of trying to carry everything on our own.

If you are feeling chronically exhausted and burdened by “human labor,” it might be time to check your faith-attitude. Are you trusting Him, or are you trying to be Him?

Standing in the “In-Between”

The attitude of faith refuses to worry or fret about tomorrow. Why? Because faith understands a vital truth: Wherever you need to go, Jesus has already been there.

He is the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. But more importantly for us today, He is everything in between. He isn’t just waiting for you at the finish line; He is walking through the “middle” with you right now.

The Unknown Future – He is already there. The Current Struggle – He is right here. The Past Mistakes – He has already covered them.

When you place your trust completely in the One who was, who is, and who is to come, anxiety loses its grip. You can breathe again.

Prayer for Today

Heavenly Father, I thank You that I don’t have to carry the weight of tomorrow on my shoulders today. Lord, help me to adopt an “attitude of faith.” I choose to enter Your rest and let go of the weariness that comes from trying to control everything. I trust You as my Alpha and my Omega, knowing that You are in total control of my beginning, my end, and every moment in between. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

To You

As you go about your day, pay attention to your “internal weather.” If you feel a storm of worry brewing, stop and intentionally shift your attitude. Say to yourself: “Jesus is already in my tomorrow, so I can rest in my today.”
