Advent Being a child of God – Prayer for December 11. Everything that has a start must surely have an end in this world. There was a time when we were given birth and there would be a time to stop living. We must focus on the end so we have eternal life.
Bible Verse for Today
“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot.” (Ecclesiastes 3:1-2)
It does not matter who you are or the kind of life you are living, enjoying or not, happy or not. There will be a time that it will all cease. As beautiful as the beginning of your life may be, the end is of greater importance to God. How you end is what God is interested in.
Although it is good to start the Christian race well, God is more interested in how you end the race. Even most of the time, it doesn’t matter how you run the race, fast or slow.
The Bible made us understand that it is not by speed, because one is doing it right now doesn’t mean one will do it right till the end. Ecclesiastes 9:11 “I have seen something else under the sun: The race is not to the swift or the battle to the strong, nor does food come to the wise or wealth to the brilliant or favor to the learned; but time and chance happen to them all.”
If you have done wrong in the past, God wants you to be a child of God to have a new beginning.
It’s important because after the end it will be judgment next. You may have been born again before but fallen into sin. Don’t let the devil deceive you by telling you that you are no longer fit to be a child of God.

God wants you back – he is interested in you ending well. In the end, when Jesus Christ comes, we must be found doing the right thing.
Being a Child of God – Prayer for Today
Lord, I might have been running this Christian race slowly or maybe I am running fast but that’s not the most important part. I want to end well, I want to be crowned and be rewarded for doing the right thing. I pray for favor and grace to end well. If I have been running in a way that won’t guarantee me a better ending, help me to adjust now. Amen.
