Blessing – the most Heart Warming Prayer to God form. A spoken word of blessing is a powerful form of prayer. It’s a Biblical statement that calls on the blessing of God in the life of others. Words spoken from the mouth has a great influence in the lives of people around us. Such words can either heal or discourage others. It’s can give hope, strength, spiritual growth, encouragement to our family, friends, and anyone around us, it might also bring low self-esteem, self- destruction depending on our utterance that is why it is very important to get control over our tongue. God’s first word spoken to Adam and Eve were words of blessing as seen in the book of (Genesis 1:27-29), it also the last word that was spoken by Our Lord Jesus while ascending to Heaven in Luke 24:50-52, Jesus told His disciples to blessed the world after He left them and also does the same while on earth.
No one can actually refuse to receive a prophetic prayer statement. Words like “God bless you” or “God be with you” are most often spoken and it means God bring good consistently into one’s life or God protects and keeps you. Proverbs 12:18 says, “There is one whose rash words are like sword thrusts, but the tongue of the wise brings healing.”
When we are in Christ we are already blessed and will remain blessed. Jesus is the one that blessed us and only through him we are able to bless others (Ephesians 1:3). Each person we come across is a treasure, therefore we need to listen attentively to help and support them emotionally, physically or spiritually.
