Bible Verse for Today
“For everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith” (1 John 5:4).
God gave us His word so that no matter what we face, see, or hear, we are not distracted and stay focused. When we were small, we went to school to be trained for what we would be. We were not doctors, engineers, or lawyers then because we were going through training, and after the training, we triumphed in becoming what we wanted to be. That is what it’s like when we hold on to faith in times of trials; we will surely triumph.

In this manner, the Bible says in Proverbs 22:6, “Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old, he will not depart from it.” When you train your child right from the start, they hold onto and use your training. Imagine you being a Christian parent and your child is not following the path you laid down for them. People will say, “You are a Christian, yet your child doesn’t behave like one.” Let’s train in faith, persevere, and hold onto it; our faith will surely triumph.
Hold onto Faith Prayer for Today
Dear Lord, I thank you for my life and for saving me. You gave me strength each new day, strengthening my faith in you every day. Whenever I face temptation, please give me the power to hold onto the faith and never let me be moved.
Father, help me to trust you and have faith in you because your word says, “Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God. I decided today to trust your word; I decided to hold onto faith because your word says “without faith, it is impossible to please God” and I want to please you, Lord. Please help me to have faith in you. Amen.
