Prayer for May 5. Seeking God’s Will and Direction. What we should think about first every day is seeking God’s will and direction. When we seek him, we get whatever we ask of him. Let’s tell God to give us a heart that will seek him and yearn for him always.
Bible Verse for Today
“Blessed are those who keep his status and seek him with all their heart.” (Psalm 119:2)
Every morning we wake up to see the new day, we are thankful because we see the new day, but we don’t know how the day will go, and that is the reason why we need to seek someone who knows better, someone who can direct us and tell us what to do to get a good God.
The Bible confirmed that “blessed” are those who seek God with all their heart. When we seek God, we must do so with all our hearts.
God himself assured us that anytime we seek him, we shall find him. Jeremiah 29:13 “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” What is common in these two passages of the Bible is “seek me with all your heart.” This means that the only way we can find him when we seek him is to seek him with all our hearts.
Whatever we need today, let’s ask him, and he will give it to us, but we must do so with all our hearts. What God needs in us is our heart, if he gains our heart, he knows he has gotten our attention and that’s the only way communication can be established whereby we talk to him and he talks to us back.
Prayer for Today
Thank you, Lord, for always making yourself available to me. And thank you because every time I call you, you always answer. Thank you because whenever I’m weak, I come to you and you give me strength. I have come to seek you today, Lord. Please let me see you. I abide in you, just as you abide in me, and I’m bearing fruits of righteousness, walking in your greater blessings, in Jesus name. Amen.
