Today’s Gospel reading emphasizes the remarkable truth and powerful responsibility of Jesus’ resurrection. Christ first appears to Mary Magdalene and then commissions His disciples to share this joyful news with the world. Proclaim the Good News!
Easter Octave Devotional – Day 7
“Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.” (Mark 16:15)
Go and Proclaim the Good News
In today’s reading, we see both disbelief and amazement among the disciples as they encounter the reality of Christ’s resurrection.
Their journey from doubt to proclamation mirrors our own experiences of faith—moments when we struggle to believe and then find ourselves transformed by encounters with Christ’s grace.
The risen Jesus entrusts His followers with an extraordinary mission: to go forth and proclaim the Good News. This commission extends to each of us today. Christ invites you to experience His resurrection power personally and become a messenger of this hope and joy to others.
I believe that in today’s complex world, where humanity no longer knows the way, the proclamation of the Good News of Jesus is particularly important and relevant.
Living the Word Today
Reflect today: Are you embracing the mission Christ has given you—to proclaim His resurrection in word and action? How might you more actively share the Good News of His presence and love?
Consider practical ways to witness to Christ in your daily interactions—through acts of kindness, compassionate listening, encouragement, or simply by sharing your personal story of encountering Jesus’ transformative power.
Prayer for Today
Risen Lord, thank You for entrusting me with the mission to proclaim Your resurrection. Strengthen my faith, overcome my doubts, and empower me with Your Spirit to share Your Good News with courage and compassion. May my life reflect Your love, drawing others closer to Your saving grace. Amen.
