Advent – GOD KEEPS HIS PROMISES Prayer for December 15

God keeps his promises

Advent. God keeps His promises – Prayer for December 15. God is fond of one thing, and that is making a promise. The good thing is that God does not make empty promises. God has never promised anyone and then failed. Advent is the time to remember God’s promises to us.

Bible Verse for Today

“For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him, the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God.” (2 Corinthians 1:20)

There are many promises of God written in the scriptures that we should claim daily. They are so many that they can take us through a year.

We shouldn’t leave these promises and think they are not for us. God promised his people in the Old Testament about the coming of Jesus Christ, and he fulfilled it. In each situation you find yourself in, there is at least a promise for it.

When you face challenges that are too big for you, horrible situations are overwhelming – God promised that he would fight for you, and you will be at peace. Exodus 14:14 “The Lord shall for you, and you shall hold your peace.”

God also promised that he would never stop being kind to us. Yet, when most people face challenges or bad situations, they attribute it to God – they believe it’s from God.

God said he would not stop his kindness toward us. Isaiah 54:10 “Though the mountains are shaken, and the hills are removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken, nor my covenant of peace be removed,” says the Lord, who has compassion on you.”

In the area of asking from God, God also promised to give us whatever we ask. Mark 11:24 “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” Lastly, Jesus promised us his return.

God keeps His promisesPrayer for Today

Your promises are sure, and they never fail. You are truthful to your word, Lord. So I thank you for the promises of greatness and because you said you would do whatever we ask and if we believe. So I ask today that you go with me, bless me, and make me prosper in everything I do. Let your promises manifest in my life, and let the world see you in me. Amen.
