Last Supper Prayer. The Last Supper is the supper Jesus took with His disciples before He was taken away to be killed. This Last Supper has more critical meaning than what we call it. It is time to eat with the Lord and to eat from Him.
Bible Verse for Today
“And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body. And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.” (Matthew 26:26-28)
That time, Jesus called all of his disciples into a room to eat His last meal with them. All the disciples were present. While they were there, Jesus took the break and share it with them all. He called the bread His flesh. Jesus picked up the wine and shared it also; He called it His blood.
That means that eating the Last Supper then is eating the body of Christ. It is like taking in the power of Christ, taking in His spirit.

This is a confirmation of what Jesus said to His disciples about eating His flesh in John 6:54 “Whoever feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.”
The reason why Jesus gave them these two things, His blood, and His flesh is that, without these two, it would be hard to get eternal life. Jesus gives eternal life and taking part of Jesus and ingesting it is like transferring the eternal life into ourselves.
Jesus then told us to keep doing this in remembrance of Him. We still have the Last Supper today, and this is not just to remember Jesus but also to take part in His body and His blood so that we will have access to eternal life. This is what should be practiced in Churches today.
It also unites us in Christ and never lets us break the bond of Love in Christ.
Last Supper Prayer for Today
Dear Lord, I trust You have the eternal life to give me. As I participate in the Last Supper, Lord, let me have access to eternal life. Let your blood and flesh make way for me, and let me be known to You. I pray that Your blood will cleanse and make me pure. Amen.
