Daily Prayer for May 17. God has destined you for greatness. God had already chosen us even before we were born to achieve greatness in life. So let’s depend on God alone for elevation.
Bible Verse for Today
“For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love.” (Ephesians 1:4)
We don’t have to be afraid of becoming great or the steps we will take to be elevated; some are born great, some achieve greatness, while others have greatness thrust upon them.
The Bible text shows that God has chosen us already before now to elevate us. It is hard to understand how God could accept us, but Christ makes us holy and blameless through what he has done for us on the cross.
The truth is that we are not saved because we deserve it but because it is gracious.

Because of sin, we were captives to Satan and his agents; we could see what God has for us. But, unfortunately, he blinded us from knowing the truth that we are destined for greatness, so we live a substandard life. We could not be released from this until Christ gave his life to remission our sins.
God is sovereign; he is the one in charge of all. So when things seem not going well, rest on the fact that he has destined you for elevation. His plans for you cannot be frustrated if you rest on him alone. His plans to make you a great person cannot be frustrated. Only if you have in his words and his promises will you guarantee your success.
Even though you have been destined for greatness, greatness is activated when you are saved and when you start walking with God.

Lord, I thank you because you have selected me for elevation. I thank you because you have plans for me, which are plans for greatness. I solely depend on you for promotion, spiritually, physically, in my career, at my place of work, and in my education, and Lord, let your plan come to pass in my life. Amen.
