Today, guided by Light, on the Feast of the Epiphany, also known as Three Kings Day, we commemorate the journey of the Magi to worship the newborn King, Jesus Christ. This celebration is a powerful reminder of Christ’s manifestation to the Gentiles and His light guiding all nations to Him.
Daily Devotional for January 6
“After they had heard the king, they went on their way, and the star they had seen when it rose went ahead of them until it stopped over the place where the child was.” (Matthew 2:9)
The Light of Christ
The journey of the wise men symbolizes God’s universal call to salvation and the guiding light of Christ that draws all people to Himself. Jesus is God’s sign, like a bright star in the sky: “Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son and will call him Immanuel.” (Isaiah 7:14)
A Journey Guided by Light
The Magi’s journey, guided by a star, reflects our spiritual journey toward Christ. Just as the star led these wise men to Jesus, God’s light guides us in our search for truth, leading us to the ultimate revelation of His love and grace in His Son.
Worship and Adoration
The Magi’s arrival and gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh symbolize reverence, worship, and acknowledgment of Jesus’ kingship, divinity, and sacrificial death. On this day, let us also bring our gifts – our hearts, our lives, and our worship – to honor Him.
The Epiphany: A Revelation to All
The Feast of the Epiphany celebrates the revelation of Christ to the Gentiles. It is a joyful affirmation that the message of salvation through Jesus is for all people, regardless of nationality, culture, or background.

Prayer for Today
Heavenly Father, on this Feast of the Epiphany, I am filled with wonder and gratitude for the revelation of Your Son, Jesus Christ, as the light for all nations. Thank You for guiding me on my spiritual journey, just as You guided the Magi. Help me to follow Your light faithfully, seeking You in all aspects of my life. I come before You in worship and adoration, offering my life as a gift in response to the greatest gift of Your Son. May my heart always treasure the truth of His incarnation and the joy of His salvation. Lord, let the message of Your love and salvation spread to every corner of the world. Use me as a bearer of Your light and truth, sharing the good news of Jesus Christ with all I encounter. Thank You for the joy and hope that the Epiphany brings. In Jesus’ name, I celebrate and pray. Amen.
To You
Reflect on how the light of Christ has guided you in your life. How can you be a bearer of this light to others, especially those who have yet to encounter Christ?
As you commemorate the Feast of the Epiphany, may the joy of the Magi’s journey inspire you to seek and worship Jesus with renewed enthusiasm. May His light guide your steps and lead you deeper into the truth of His love and salvation. Amen.
