The Hard Path to Freedom
The first steps on the hard path to freedom often involve confronting truths about ourselves and our past that we’d rather ignore. Whether acknowledging hurt from others or recognizing our damaging behaviors, these truths are crucial for genuine healing.
Like peeling back layers of an old bandage, it can be painful and uncomfortable, yet it’s necessary for the wound beneath to heal.
The Challenge of Change
Embracing change on this journey is not merely about adjusting behaviors but transforming your heart and mind. It involves letting go of long-held beliefs—such as self-pity or bitterness—that may have once felt protective but now keep you bound.
This process is challenging because it requires you to step out of familiar patterns and into the unknown, relying on God’s strength rather than your own. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart.” (Proverbs 3:5-6)
God’s Timing and Help
Remember, God never brings you to a challenge without providing the means to face it. His timing is perfect, and His presence is constant. The Holy Spirit, your Helper, is ready to give you the strength and courage you need.
Even if you feel unprepared to face certain aspects of your journey, trust that God knows you can handle it with His help.

Heavenly Father, I acknowledge the hard path to freedom that lies before me. Please give me the strength to face the painful truths and the courage to make the necessary changes.
