How to pray – for the sick person. The world is currently battle a major viral outbreak popularly known as Covid19 or Corona which led to the deaths with over many people infected globally. There are still a lot of diseases that humans suffer from ranging from several killer heart diseases, stroke, cancer, HIV\AIDs, tuberculosis, diabetes, several viral and bacterial infections and lots more. We all should unite in the prayer for the sick.
A lot of people has lost their loved ones and friends as a result various diseases and a lot of people are still suffering from them, some at the verge of dying. Some of this diseases are incurable but can be treated while some requires certain medical procedure which might result to the death of a person if not properly done. A lot of our families are experiencing financial crises due to one of our loved-ones who’s seriously ill.
How to pray – Don’t Be Afraid, but Pray!
What should we do in a situation like this? How to pray?
Isaiah 41:10 says, “So do not fear, for I am with you, do not be dismayed, for I am your God, I will strengthen you and help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
God reassures us that no matter what we or our loved-ones go through, we should not be afraid because He’s our God. When pain and illness hit you or your loved ones, always remember this. Just because the sickness is there doesn’t mean that He’s not there with you. He’s there to strengthen you and uphold you.

In James 5:14-15, He said, “is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him”. All you need to do is to have faith in Him. Even if you’ve been living a sinful life, He is always merciful and just to forgive your sins. Drop it all at the feet of Jesus and watch him take care of all your burdens.
God is Always with Us
Exodus 23:25 says, “worship the Lord your God and his blessings will be on your food and water. I will take away sickness from among you. This means that the Lord gives back to those who believe in his goodness.” The state of your health should not determine if you will worship God or not. Still worship He, still praise Him, He is worthy of our praises.
We should not give the devil any chance to come in, still serve him. He said, “He would never leave us nor forsake us…” So He’s here for us, helping us fight our battles. One thing he has assured us about is that we’re more than conqueror no matter what we face or what is against us.
Remember, Christ in us, the hope of glory. Never ever give in to fear and doubt.

Prayer for the Sick Person
The word of God says the prayer of faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will make them well. Therefore, I will not fear of this report! Because You has not given me the spirit of fear but the spirit of boldness and of soundness mind. Thank you, Lord Jesus, because you took away our infirmities and away our diseases. Matthew 8:17 says, “therefore I stand with great boldness and confident, I stand on great authority of your word and declare that I am redeemed from the curse of this sickness.”
Devil, you have no place in this body because this body is now under a new manager which is Jesus Christ. I am the property of the almighty God and I give you no place in me. And I dwell in the secret place of the Most-High God and I abide under the shadow of the almighty, whose power no foes can stand.
I confess that God’s word abides in me and, it is life and medicine to me. I hold fast to my confession of the word and I stand immovable, knowing that health and healing are mine now in Jesus name. Amen.
