Love is at the heart of the Christian faith, and Jesus exemplified radical love during His time on earth. As His followers, we are called to embrace this love and extend it to others.
Daily Devotional for June 14
“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” (John 13:34-35)
Radical love goes beyond simple gestures or temporary acts of kindness. It involves seeing others through the eyes of Christ and valuing them as precious creations of God. It means showing compassion, forgiveness, and acceptance, even to those who may seem unlovable or different from us.
Embracing Christ’s call to love unconditionally requires us to step outside our comfort zones and engage with people from all walks of life. It means reaching out to the marginalized, the hurting, and the broken, offering them hope, support, and a listening ear.
Devotional for every day here: Daily Devotional
Love is not always easy. We must let go of our prejudices, biases, and judgments. It challenges us to forgive when we are wronged, to extend grace when it is undeserved, and to love even when it is difficult. But in these moments, our love becomes transformative and reflects the radical love of Christ.
We become instruments of God’s love. Our love becomes a powerful testimony of the gospel and draws others closer to Him. It breaks down barriers, healing wounded hearts, and fosters unity among believers.
Prayer for Today
Let us, therefore, embrace Christ’s call to love unconditionally. May we seek to love as He loves, extending grace, mercy, and compassion to all. May our lives be a living testament to the radical love of Christ, shining His light and drawing others into His embrace. In Jesus’ name, amen.
