We all make mistakes. It is inevitable. Trust God’s correction. Today, in our daily devotional for February 20, let’s discuss how God leads us forward, bringing us back on track when we go astray.
Daily Devotional for February 20
“For the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and chastises every son whom he receives.” (Hebrews 12:6)
Trust God’s Correction
When self-doubt creeps in, and fear tempts you to shrink back, remember that living by faith means trusting in God’s correction and guidance every step of the way.
The Challenge of Self-Doubt
Self-doubt can paralyze you, making you fear making decisions or taking action. But God’s Word encourages you to live boldly by faith, not in fear. Remember, when you hesitate, not because God delights in your fear but because He longs for you to experience the fullness of life He offers through Christ.
Finding Confidence in God
While you may trust God implicitly, trusting yourself can sometimes be more challenging. Yet, God reminds you that if He dwells within you, guiding and directing your steps, then doubting yourself is, in essence, doubting Him.
The Assurance of God’s Oversight
Mistakes are part of the human experience but are not the end of your story. If your heart is set on following God, even missteps can be redirected by His loving correction. Trust God’s correction to steer you back gently whenever you veer off course.
Believe in Divine Leadership
Instead of defaulting to self-doubt, stand firm in the belief that God is leading you. Lean into the promise that the Holy Spirit will guide you into all truth, correcting your path as needed.
