The abundance of joy – Prayer for November 30. Jesus promised us an abundance of joy. When? Where? For whom? Can we imagine that? No, but we can guess it. And, of course, we can read about it in the Bible.
Bible Verse for Today
“You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.” (Psalm 16:11)
There is no misfortune in Heaven, no sadness, worries, sorrow, pain, and end of pleasures. In short, everything is perfect in Heaven, and that lasts forever.
If you live according to the Word of God, put yourself into the path of God’s grace, and accept Jesus as your Savior and Lord, then you are on the right way to Heaven. Reflect what Jesus says, “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.” (John 10:11)

We all dream about eternal joy, which is the fullness in God’s face. God lives in Heaven, a natural home for true believers in Jesus who live according to God’s Word. “But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it, we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself.” (Philippians 3:20-21)
We expect heavenly life, but this doesn’t mean we should live in sadness now. Jesus gives us life, and he provides us with a promise of rich abundance. The devil is a thief who wants to steal, slaughter, and destroy our joy of life: “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.” (John 10:10)
Jesus says we should pray that God’s will be done here on earth, but that does not mean we should sit sadly alone and hungry. When Jesus exclaimed, “It is finished,” it meant that Jesus redeemed us.
Devil and death have no more power over us longer. Jesus overcame all of this for us once and for all. “I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33).
Make yourself aware today of the glorious spiritual identity Jesus has acquired for you. God wants you to be healthy, full of joy, helpful to others, and a committed ambassador to his Kingdom.
The abundance of Joy Prayer for Today
Thank you, God, for sending your Son to give us life. Lord, you gave us a promise of eternal life, a gift of Salvation. Lord, we thank you for sending the Holy Spirit, who guides us and reveals wisdom. We thank you for the eternal inheritance you have given us and that one day; we can enjoy the beauty of your Kingdom and your presence forever. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
