God gives us freedom of choice. A daily prayer for December 8. God created us free. He gives us free will to accept or reject Jesus Christ and his Salvation. We are not forced to obey God. It is our choice to do or not do what God tells us.

“For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.” (Galatians 5:13)
We, humans, were born to freedom. It is a gift of God. The question is, are you ready to do whatever is necessary to become free? Or do you want to stay in your current state for the rest of your life? If you yearn for freedom, then you must do what God tells you to do step by step. Only then do you finally come out of your problems.

In 2 Timothy 4:5, Paul calls Timothy to keep a sober judgment and to fulfill his duties in the service of God. That is good advice for us all. Instead of being guided by our feelings when we face difficulties, we should stay calm and focus on what God has told us to do. But it is our choice to follow or not follow the Word of God. And it is an expression of our freedom to live or not according to what God says.
Are you upset about a situation? Then do not let this ruin your life, but make something good out of it. Overcome evil and anger by praying for the person who hurt or abused you. Face selfish feelings with good deeds. If the devil tries to stir your emotions, calm down and do what God has told you to do. Once again- God has given you a gift for you – the freedom to choose in every situation, so it’s your turn to make a decision.
God Gives us Freedom of Choice Prayer for Today
God, thank you for the freedom you gave us. Lord, help us to make the right choices in our lives. Father, touch our hearts to trust entirely in You and Your word. Help us to be balanced, calm, and steady so that we can enjoy our lives and fulfill the tasks you have given us. We pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
