Advent. The glory of the Lord – Prayer for December 9. When the glory of God shines on us, everything about us will change. We will experience a great transformation. Let’s tell God to shine his glory on us today.
Bible Verses for Today
“When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory.” (Matthew 25:31)
The glory of the Lord is a big deal for us, we can’t joke with it. There are places in the Bible where the glory of the Lord was described. Deuteronomy 5:24 “And you said: ‘Surely the Lord our God has shown us His glory and His greatness, and we have heard His voice from the midst of the fire.
We have seen this day that God speaks with man, yet he still lives.” When God walks right in front of Moses, Moses couldn’t comprehend it – the glory of the Lord is what can change one’s life forever.
When God shines his glory, the whole creation bows and worships Him. In this same manner, if the glory of the Lord is upon you, the world will bow at your feet. The Bible text explains that Jesus will come back in His glory and He will sit on the seat of glory. The coming of Jesus Christ is indeed something that will be glorious.
When Jesus was born, his glory shined that one could see and know that a child has been given birth to, they traced it into the manger where he was laid. When the glory of God is shining on you, nothing can hide you, nothing can ever stop from shining. Moses asked to see the glory of God – we can also do that, we can tell God to show us his glory that will change us.
Let’s tell God to show us his glory and let his glory shine in every area of our lives today.
The Glory of the Lord Prayer for Today
Lord, thank you for today, I thank you for the privilege to see this glorious day. Lord, I pray that you will shine your glory on me today. I want to experience a great change, I want my life to radiate your glory and I want the world to see you in me. In anything I do today, at my place of work, my school, in my business, let your glory show forth. Amen.
