Jesus is the light – Prayer for December 8. Jesus also gave us light in this world. The world was filled with evil and darkness has taken over the minds of men. Jesus came and shed his light in the world.
Bible Verse for Today
“I have come as a light into the world, that whoever believes in me should not abide in darkness.” (John 12:46)
There is something we should know about light. Before God created the light, darkness was ruling. Suddenly, God said, “Let there be light.” And the light came through.
That doesn’t mean darkness was permanently eradicated, they take turns. This is exactly how the life of man was. There is light and there is darkness – this is why you will see someone falling and rising.
This is why it is easy to do evil and then seek forgiveness. Falling into sin, doing wicked things, and then sacrificing on the altar for atonement. Darkness makes people stumble. This means it causes sin. When people don’t know the truth, it’s like they are in darkness and this makes them sin.
Jesus then came to perfect that light. He came with a light and to give everyone that light so that darkness will not be contending with that light in you. Jesus came to give you light and to transform you and transfer you from darkness into light. He did not stop doing that. He also made us become lights that will shine forth into the world and eliminate darkness permanently.
Jesus has made us light now. What are we doing to make sure the light shines brighter and better so the world will experience light and not darkness? We need to make ourselves available to spread the light of Christ in this world. This is our calling. And this is what Jesus came to do. We can not let that waste, we have been recruited by Him into the light.
Jesus is the Light Prayer for Today
Lord, I want to be that change that the world needs. I want to be part of those that will bring light and spread the light. The world awaits my manifestation, they want to see me shine. Lord, help me to shine bright. I pray that your light will shine on everything I do today and I will have a positive result at the end of the day. Your name be glorified. Amen.
