Advent. Jesus gave us life – Prayer for December 7. One of the things Jesus came to do on earth is to give life to every soul that is willing to accept him. He changes his or her path to the path of Christ which is the path of life.
Bible Verse for Today
“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 6:23)
The reason we can boast of life is that having a life is one of the things Jesus came for. Jesus gave us life and hope. He changed the course and led us on the path of life.
The life Jesus came to give is a precious gift. It is so important to us that we must hold onto it because when we lose it, it takes us back to the punishment or the reward we get for sinning.
Whenever we go against God, that is when we sin, we open ourselves to the punishment that follows sin and that is death. This is why it is important to ask for grace and mercy every day so that we can get this life of Christ which is everlasting.
Pure gifts come from up above, it comes from God. God has offered gifts through Christ, we have the choice to take or leave them. But no one will want to take death instead of life. Why should we then ignore this gift and go back into our being dead?
Once we are without Christ, we are counted as a being dead because death came upon us through one man and that is Adam. Everyone born into this world is born into sin which has death with itself but when Christ came through, he came with life.
Advent is a time of waiting and hope. So accepting Christ means accepting to move from the path of death into the path of life. Let us walk in the path of life so we can be filled with life and in abundance and let us tell God to revive whatever thing is dead in us.
Jesus Gave us Life Prayer for Today
Dear Lord, thank you for the life that you have given me. I accept it with faith today – I will not let it slip away from me. I speak life into every part of my life that seems dead. And I speak life into my family, I speak life into a career. Lord, breathe in me your life and let me live. Amen.
