Welcome to your daily devotional for February 26: Attached Faith. Today, we look at the specific way we bring our requests to God. There is a significant difference between asking out of a sense of panic and asking with a heart full of confidence in His Word.
Attached Faith – Daily Devotional for February 26
“And Jesus said to him, ‘Go; your faith has made you well.’ Immediately he regained his sight and began following Him on the road.” — Mark 10:52 (NASB)
Beyond Desperation
It is easy to find ourselves asking God for help out of pure desperation.
While God cares about our needs, there is a distinct shift that happens when we attach our faith to those requests. We can ask for many things, but if our hearts are focused only on the problem rather than on the Provider, we might miss the very thing God is looking for: our trust.
In the Gospels, Jesus often told people that their faith had saved them or made them whole. This suggests that faith is the active ingredient in our relationship with Him. Instead of just showing God how big your problem is, start showing your problem how big your God is.
Standing on the Word
One of the best ways to build this kind of confidence is to fill your prayers with Scripture.
When you find a specific promise in the Bible that relates to your situation, bring it back to God. This is not because He has forgotten what He said, but because reminding Him of His Word shows that you trust His character.
Humbly stating, “Lord, You promised to provide for my needs, and I believe You,” changes the atmosphere of your prayer time. It moves you from a position of begging to a position of expectation. It also strengthens your own heart while you wait for the answer to arrive.
When you pray the Word, you are anchoring your soul to something that cannot be shaken.

Prayer for Today
Heavenly Father, I thank You that You hear me when I call. Forgive me for the times I have prayed out of fear rather than out of faith. Today, I choose to attach my trust to every request I make. I stand on Your promises and believe that You are faithful to keep Your Word. Increase my faith as I wait on You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
To You
Identify one specific need in your life today. Find a Bible verse that addresses that need and include it in your prayer. Instead of focusing on the “what if,” focus on the “He said.”
