Become a prayer warrior. Devotional for today, November 23. Praise the Lord, everybody! Today, when the world’s powerful and influential seem to be committing all sorts of crimes against humanity, we tend to direct our discontent toward God, forgetting the real source of the evil behind the thrones of power in this world.
Devotional for Today, November 23
“Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” (Ephesians 6:11-12)
God wants us to know who our real fight is with, and attacking the person or situation in the flesh is not the answer. This is spiritual warfare. A lot of Christians do not believe in spiritual warfare. They pray against the person, “I bind you in the name of Jesus,” to the person who committed the offense instead of “binding” the spirit that caused the person to commit the offense.

In our battle against our enemy, the Devil. We must never forget the following:
- First, that the Devil is real. Jesus often mentions the Devil in the Bible.
- Second, demons are real; ask the seven sons of Sceva in Acts chapter 19 (Acts 19:11-20).
- Third, we cannot fight these forces naturally.
Successful Prayer Life
Prayer is an essential part of the battle. The term “prayer warrior” is a title given to a “believer” who has a thriving, strong prayer life. What makes a solid, successful prayer life?
One thing is having a real relationship with Jesus and the word of God. The next thing is diligence; we must persevere in prayer. We must pray until something happens, one way or another. Another essential part of a successful prayer life is praying God’s word and promises back to him because God cannot deny Himself or His word.
So next time you find yourself facing the enemy in the guise of a person, remember your fight is not with that person but with the “power” behind the person, and let the prayer warrior in you go to work. Become a prayer warrior! God bless you all.
Become a Prayer Warrior
Father God, thank you for your word and its promises. Thank you that we can stand on those promises and that your word does not come back void. Lord, help us remember that our most powerful weapon is prayer. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
