Daily Devotional for 3 May – Pray for good health

Daily Devotional for 3 May Pray for good health

In the absence of good health, the joy of life is significantly reduced. Therefore, prayer for good health is essential to our daily life. It is a perfect prayer to God, the source of all life and health. Pray for your and your loved ones’ good physical, emotional, and spiritual health.

Pray for Good Health

The Bible says in 3 John 1:2:

“Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well.”

I am sure our personal experience confirms this Bible verse about the importance of good health and the link between our physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. When nothing hurts, the sun seems to shine brighter.

It is not without reason that God is called a healer and comforter. When we pray for good health, we are justified in asking God for physical healing, emotional stability, and spiritual growth. We can also ask for strength to overcome illness, wisdom to make decisions, and peace of mind to avoid stress and anxiety.

Let us not forget that we can and should pray for our loved ones, asking God to protect them from illness and disease, to give them strength, and to bless them with inner peace and joy. This is our loving service to them.

When we pray for good health, we affirm our faith in God’s power to heal and restore us. In doing so, we acknowledge that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit.
