Be Led by the Spirit of God – Prayer for May 9. To go far in life, we must submit ourselves to be led by the spirit of God, he knows better than we do and he can guide us and direct our steps. Let’s tell God to help us submit to his lead.
Bible Verse for Today
“For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God.” (Romans 8:14)
The mind of a human is very limited even if it’s working at its very best, so it can be a guide for the Christian in this journey of life. Due to the limitation of humans, it is hard for us to tell those things that will be perfect for us, things that will be good for us, or even make the right choices.
Until we submit ourselves to the lead of the Holy Spirit, we will still find them hard. Jesus has promised us the Holy Spirit calling it the spirit of truth that will guide us and teach us what to do. John 16:13 “But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.”
Submitting to the spirit add meaning to our lives. The things we are blinded to, the Holy Spirit will open our eyes to see them. The vision the spirit will show us, nothing will ever be able to block them. Think of your life, how far do you want to go in life? How successfully do you want to be?
God can make you go farther than you expected if you can yield to his lead. Isaiah 1:19 “If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the good things of the land.”
Be Led by the Spirit of God Prayer for Today
Lord, I accept I can’t do it all by myself, I am limited and I don’t have the power of my own – for this reason, Lord, I’m submitting myself to you so that you can take control of everything. I know that with you Lord, I can go far in life, and I know that all will go well so I follow you today and for the rest of my life, in Jesus name. Amen.
