Daily prayer light of the world

Light of the World—Prayer for January 3. We are joint heirs with Christ; he is the light of the world. Therefore, as Christians, we must glow and show God’s glory. Let’s tell God to shine his light on us.

Bible Verse for Today

“Arise, shine, for your light, has come, and the glory of the LORD rises upon you.” (Isaiah 60:1)

In the beginning, the world was filled with darkness, and God said, “Let there be light.”

God is the Almighty. He knew that to start any work, there must be light, so He created the light first. That is to show how important light is.

We who are in Christ are not meant to be in darkness; that is why God is telling us to rise and shine. We have been called from the darkness of the world into the light of the Lord (1 Peter 2:9).

What do you think light is? Light is illumination, and when darkness appears, it will surely disappear.

When you become light, in any challenging situation you step into, you are representing Jesus; therefore, the solution must come.

When you go out today, go forth and shine your light. Let the world see the light in you—not to see it in you alone but shining all around you. Be the light that will swallow their darkness, the solution to their problems.

Wake up from slumber. Don’t be satisfied with darkness. Tell God today to shine His light on you so that people will see His glory in you.

Devotion for every day: Prayer for Today

Light of the World – Prayer for Today

Lord, I arise to the light of today. I want to shine and let your glory radiate over me so that people will see you working mightily in me. If I have been sleeping before that’s causing me not to shine and do great things, I receive the power to rise and shine now.

I know that this world is full of darkness, and man’s deeds are evil. You said we are the light of the world, Lord. Make my light shine and let darkness disappear. Let your light shine from me and make every darkness in my job, career, education, business, and family disappear. Your glory shall rise upon me and all my doings today. Amen.
