Overcome temptations – Prayer for March 1. Overcoming temptations is inevitable. It is what we face daily. What makes us different is the power to overcome them in us as Christians.
Bible Verse for Today
“No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.” (1 Corinthians 10:13)
We are expected to face temptations; being tempted is not a sin. Even Jesus Christ faced it but was victorious because he overcame the temptations. It has been stated that God will not allow us to be tempted beyond what we can bear or overcome.

Our faith will indeed be tested, and that can come anytime. It could be when we feel we are spiritually strong, that we can stand any challenges, or when we are down physically, emotionally, financially, or when we are lonely, or even when we are in a position of power.
Jesus was tested in different areas: to misuse his power, to associate with the devil to get power and neglect the real purpose of God, and to abuse the position he is in God’s kingdom. So also, temptations come in different ways, such as lust.
Jesus overcame temptations using the scriptures. You must also use the word of God today to face any temptation that might come your way, and you will be victorious.
Overcome Temptations – Prayer for Today
Dear Lord, thank you for your incredible power that works in me. And thank you for your goodness and your blessings over me. I want to say thank you for your love; also, it’s a great love that saved me, and thank you for showing me that you care a lot.
I am bound to make mistakes, forgive my mistakes, and help me to forgive others too.
The temptation will surely come today, Lord, and I don’t have the power to overcome it. Therefore, I need you to overcome every temptation that may come my way, Lord. Help me to discern one when seeing it in Jesus’ name. Amen.
