Advent. THE EVERLASTING JOY Prayer for December 23

the everlasting joy

Advent. The everlasting joy – Prayer for December 23. After this current world is over and every activity of the world is gone, we will all experience peace in Christ in the new heaven and the new earth. In this new place, we will have everlasting joy.

Bible Verse for Today

“Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also, there was no more sea.” (Revelation 21:1)

There are so many things that won’t exist in this new heaven and the new earth. We have faced a lot of persecutions, things that break us or that frustrate us will be gone. It would be a wonderful place to be forever because we will be in the presence of God and sing to him.

We know and we have read that in the presence of God there is always joy and this time, we will have an everlasting Joy with the Lord. Psalm 16:11 “You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is the fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.” It would be a place to enjoy and rest from all these evil that we face in this current world every day.

Imagine a place where you don’t hear the sound of the siren, where the police are chasing a thief or someone who just killed someone. Imagine a place without the news of bomb blasts and news of the war. Imagine a place without sorrow or tears but joy all day long. In this place, there will be no death, there will be no darkness because the light of God will shine on us every day.

This is the kind of place we must have been dreaming of. This kind of place exists and it’s coming soon. This current wicked world would be gone. We must do all it takes to get into this new earth. Jesus has told us and confirmed this to be true and he promised to prepare a place for us there. John 14:2 “In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.”

The Everlasting Joy Prayer for Today

Dear Lord, I don’t want to miss out of this beautiful city that you have gone to prepare for us. I want to feel joy and happiness in your presence until eternity. I want to be where you are Lord. Give me the grace to make it to the new heaven and the new earth. Prepare a mansion for me, Lord. Amen.
