Miracle in the manger – Christmas Eve Prayer for December 24. At this time, there was no room available for Joseph and the pregnant Mary to give birth, then they chose to stay in the manger and then a glorious King was born.
Bible Verse for Today
“This very day in David’s town your Savior was born — Christ the Lord! And this is what will prove it to you: you will find a baby wrapped in strips of cloth and lying in a manger.” (Luke 1:11-12)
In that year when Christ was born, there was a census so Joseph and Mary had to move from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David (Luke 2:4). By the time they got there, there were no rooms available to stay so they opt for the manger.
The good news is that it doesn’t matter your position or the state you are, a glorious thing can come out from you. The Savior of the world was born in the manger where people might consider a smelling place. That is why it is said in 1 Corinthians 1:28 “He chose what the world looks down on and despises, and thinks is nothing, in order to destroy what the world thinks is important.”
on this Christmas eve a miracle can happen in your life and it will
If a good thing can come from where people consider dirty, then there’s nothing stopping you from shining, letting your light shine forth. Matthew 5:14 “You are like light for the whole world. A city built on a hill cannot be hidden.” It was a silent night, a holy, a night of peace and a star was shining brightly.
A miracle happened in the manger that night, a miracle that an angel announced, a miracle that made people give glory to God – on this Christmas eve, a miracle can happen in your life and it will.
Christmas Eve Prayer
Dear Lord, I thank you for this time. I thank you for the privilege you have given me to witness this time again this year. I believe that you alone can make the impossibility to become possible, you can bring a miracle from nothing. Lord, let this Christmas Eve be the beginning of a new thing in my life and in my family. Amen.
