The Savior has come – Short Christmas Prayer for December 25. There had been different rulers in this world but they could not save from the eternal death which is to befall mankind. But we thank God, Christ was born to save us.
Bible Verse for Today
“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son, is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.” (Isaiah 9:6)
Merry Christmas to you! God has been sending prophets to tell people about him and what he wants to do. These prophets have limitations, they couldn’t undo what the enemy, Satan, has done to this world which is bringing death. There had been a war against sin and death that was brought upon mankind by the devil.
The birth of Christ marks the beginning of the new strategy by God to fight sin. Christ was born to draw us closer to God, he is the assurance that God is with us. Matthew 1:23 says “Behold, a virgin shall be with child and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.”
Jesus is the greatest gift from God. He came to give us life. And He is the demonstration of God’s love towards us. John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” There was joy when Chris was born because the king is here, the Savior of mankind, the only one who can deliver us and he did. In this festive season, we should not forget the real purpose why Christ was born – and so rejoice because it’s the mark of a new beginning.
The Savior has Come Short Christmas Prayer
Lord, I thank you for all you’ve done, I thank you for today. I want to thank you for coming to this world to save us from the eternal death thereby giving us an eternal life. I know that if you had not come to save, I wouldn’t have been free from sin and it’s consequences – for this I’m grateful. Lord, I pray that you make this Christmas the best Christmas ever. Amen.
