Waiting for the second coming – Prayer for December 22. There are things you should be doing while waiting for the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. These things that you are doing will determine the type of reward will get when he is back.
Bible Verse for Today
“But that which ye have already hold fast till I come. And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations.” (Revelation 2:25-26)
What is that thing that you should hold till Jesus Comes? What are you doing now that you want Jesus to reward you with? Jesus promised that He is going to reward those who keep his work to the end. We should have read it before that the reward you get is not based on how you start but how you finish.
This is why we must know how to hold onto the good thing we are doing. Jesus also said in your Revelation 22:11 “He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.”
You need to be careful of what you are doing now, there’s no time for mistakes. As Christians, we need to read the Bible and stand strong in Christ because if Jesus Comes and finds us doing what is not right, we might miss out on getting the golden crown. One of the good things that you can do before Jesus Comes is preaching the gospel.
Jesus had already commanded us that we should go into the world and preach the gospel it is a command that we must follow. Some people need to hear the good news in the world, some people need to change to the path of righteousness so that when Jesus Comes is he can take every one of us with him and we shall reign with him.
Waiting for the Second Coming Prayer for Today
Heavenly Father, I thank you for a wonderful day like this, I say thank you for the privilege to know that I need to do the right thing so that I can be with you. I pray that you give me the power to hold on till the end. At the end of everything Lord please make me worthy of your Kingdom. While on Earth I pray that you gave me the power to go on with you. Amen.
