Giving your life to Christ – Prayer for Lent #day 17. People are easily condemned for their actions. Whenever anyone makes mistakes, people condemn them. Once we give our lives to Christ, condemnation is gone.
Bible Verses for Today
“There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.” (Romans 8:1)
Condemnation is a feeling of unworthiness or lack of worth which creates the worthiness of judgment and punishment.
We understand from the finished works of Jesus on the Cross that our judgment and punishment were laid on Jesus that we might live without them, and without condemnation.
Isaiah 53:4-5 says “Surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds, we are healed.”
Condemnation is not for the children of God – all the guilt, shame, and burden of sin has been taken away by Jesus because He has died for us. What then should we say, call ourselves the condemned? Jesus did not condemn us; He came to rescue us. Jesus Himself told us that He has not come to condemn anyone.
John 3:17 says, “For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.”
Right now, the spirit, the life of Christ Jesus has made us free and we are free indeed. If we make mistakes now and we fall into sin, what we should do is repent immediately. You are free from condemnation today, do not let anyone condemn you – Jesus has not condemned you asking you to come to him and you will be saved. There is no time that God will cast you out if you repent – Jesus has died for this reason; why would he want to cast you out.
God is God of love and he loves everyone. Don’t let anyone deceive you that you are in the bondage of sin, Christ has destroyed the yoke of sin, all you need to do is to connect yourself with him.

I believe that I am not condemned. The Lord redeemed me from sin and it’s guilt. I am free from the bondage of sin. The power and the blood of Jesus have made me free. I give my life to Christ and I will never be condemned ever again. Amen.
