Give me courage God – Daily Prayer for May 22. Most of us don’t know that God commanded us to be courageous; he wasn’t begging us to be. He did this to Joshua so that he would have the courage to do the task before him.
Bible Verse for Today
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:9)
Courage is what we need to face the day.
The Bible text shows that Joshua was afraid to do the task he was to handle. He reminded him, “Have I not commanded you?” it’s an order just like in the military. When a soldier receives an order, he can’t go against the order. But this order has an assurance of getting a backup.
God is ready to back us up in the task ahead of us, and this is why we will move forward.

If we want to go far in life, we must do away with fear and stand strong because there are forces that pull someone back. Although God has given us things to do for him on earth, we represent him. For this reason, he told us and assured us he would be there for us.
We should run to him when we feel discouraged because he is the pillar holding our lives.
Sometimes, we see some blessing that scares us because we think it might be a setup.
The disciples of Jesus saw Jesus doing something unusual and were terrified. Jesus knew they were afraid, and he ordered them to be courageous. Matthew 14:27 “But Jesus immediately said to them: “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.”
Give Me Courage God Prayer for Today
Thank you, Lord, for the courage you have given me to face the previous days, and I thank you because I have the courage in you to face today. Nothing will make me lose my courage in you today, Lord. Therefore, in everything I do today, I declare success and reject failure in Jesus’ name. Amen.
