The Responsibility of a Free Person
God has given you an incredible gift: freedom. The life you will live depends on you and on the decisions you make as a free person.
This is not about earning your salvation or living by a rigid set of rules; it’s about living a life that is a model of success. How? By consciously choosing the direction of the Kingdom of Heaven. Every day, every decision—from the small to the significant—is an opportunity to align your life with God’s purpose.
This freedom means we are not passive participants in our lives; we are responsible for our choices. We must decide for ourselves and accept not only God’s help but also change our thinking to see the world from His perspective.
Grace for Every Choice
You may wonder, if my life depends on my decisions, how can I ever get it right? This is where God’s grace comes in.
While you are responsible for the choices you make, God’s grace is necessary to empower you to make them. It gives you the wisdom to find the right answer and strengthens your will to act on that choice.
This is the beautiful balance of the Christian life. We are free, but we are not left to our own devices. God provides the grace we need to live a life that honors Him. We do the choosing, but He provides the wisdom and the strength.
By humbly accepting His grace for every decision, we can be confident that our choices will lead us on the path to the Kingdom of Heaven.

Prayer for Today
Heavenly Father, thank you for the freedom you have given me in Christ. I confess that sometimes I don’t know what to do or lack the strength to follow through. I ask for your grace today. Grant me the wisdom to choose the direction of your Kingdom and strengthen my will to follow through on those choices. Amen.
