Perhaps you find yourself in need of healing today. If so, take heart—Jesus is our Healer. He may work through doctors, medicine, or procedures, or He may choose to perform a miracle. However He does it, we can be confident in this truth: Jesus is the source of all healing.
Daily Devotional for September 4
“But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.” (Isaiah 53:5)
Looking to Jesus First
When sickness or pain strikes, it’s natural to turn to medical help, and that is often a gift from God. Yet, even as we pursue treatment, our first and constant source of hope must be Jesus Himself. He sees not only the condition of our body but also the condition of our soul.
Sometimes true healing begins within, where fear, guilt, or bitterness need His touch before the body can fully respond.
Healing Beyond the Physical
Jesus’ healing is not limited to the physical realm. He restores broken hearts, renews weary spirits, and grants peace where anxiety once ruled. By His stripes, we are not only healed of diseases but also made whole in the deepest parts of who we are.
Have you brought your whole self—body, mind, and spirit—before Him, asking for His complete restoration?
Trusting God’s Way of Healing
We may long for instant miracles, but God often works through processes, people, and time. Medicine, skilled doctors, and treatments are all instruments in His hands. What matters most is trusting Him to guide the process and believing that His plan for your healing is perfect. Whether quickly or gradually, He remains faithful.
