“The fear of man lays a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is safe.” (Proverbs 29:25)
Courage over Approval
People’s opinions are often highly volatile and biased. When we judge others, we look at personal likes and dislikes; we look at what is popular in society or what is considered outdated. Understandably, societal trends often do not align with God’s will and lead people to go along with the crowd, ignoring God’s call.
God calls you to a life marked by courage and divine purpose, not hindered by the fear of others’ opinions or control.
Overcome Fear of Man
The fear of man is a subtle trap, leading you to value human approval over God’s. This can manifest in allowing others to control or influence your actions against God’s guidance.
Your God-Given Independence
God has created you with a unique purpose and destiny. When you find yourself under the undue influence of others, it’s crucial to assert the independence God has granted you, aligning your actions with His will.
Godly Boundaries
Setting boundaries is not about defiance but respecting God’s design for your life. It involves saying no to manipulation and control and affirming your ultimate allegiance to God.
Choose Divine Guidance
In every decision, choose to follow the Holy Spirit’s leading. This might mean making tough choices that don’t align with others’ expectations but are in obedience to God.
To Freedom
Taking the first step to break free from the fear of man can be daunting, mainly if you’re used to “going along to get along.” Remember, with God’s help, you can overcome this fear and step into the freedom He intends for you.

Prayer for Today
Heavenly Father, empower me to Overcome the Fear of Man and live in the freedom You’ve designed for me. Help me to discern Your will and to stand firm against undue influence or control from others. Grant me the courage to set healthy boundaries and to prioritize Your approval above all else. Remind me of my worth in Your eyes, especially when tempted to seek validation from people. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
