True image of God – Prayer for January 15. We have been created in the image of God, possessing the character of God makes us be in the true image of God.
Bible Verse for Today
“who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.” (Hebrews 1:3)
The man was created in the image and the likeness of God to function like Him. You may ask “What does it mean to be created in the image and the likeness of God?” In the Bible text, Jesus is described as the brightness of God’s glory and the express image of God’s person. Genesis 1:27 says, “So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.”
The true image of God means power, it means flawless, without wrinkle, perfect, without blemish. God made a call to make man in his image, that is, just like Jesus who is the flawless and perfect image of God. This means man was created to be just like Jesus, the image of God.
Your destiny is to conform to the image of the Son of God in all things.
You should know that you are the image of God. You are just like the Lord in power, you are a god. You keep beholding Jesus through the living word, and you will be changed by the Spirit of God, from glory to glory until you come into the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ. Keep meditating and acting in the word daily. Let the word dwell in you richly in all wisdom.
Be not conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind as you meditate and act on the word of God. Always remember that you are the image of God and that you are to live like Jesus, for He is your shining example.
True Image of God Prayer for Today
I am God’s image, formed to be great. I possess the authority and I am made a god over every situation. Therefore, I express the life of God in all that I do and I function like him. God’s image is revealed in me, the power of God is working in me. I am a contact point between God and this generation. The glory of the Lord will show forth in me today and I will prosper in all I do. Amen.
