Devotional Prayer for Lent #day 24. Since we are alive in Christ, we will also reign with Him. He has transformed us – what is in us now is light. So let us tell God to enthrone us with Christ Jesus and have access to the throne.
Bible Verse for Today
“Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.” (Ephesians 2:5-6)
Today’s Bible text reveals Jesus’ substitutionary work for us. It tells us that Jesus’ death, resurrection, ascension, and enthronement are all ours because he took our place as our substitute.
When Jesus died, we died with him; when he was made alive, we were made alive together with him and raised together and made to sit together with him in heavenly places in Christ—a fantastic concept of substitution, identification, and representation.

God sees us in Christ’s substitution for us. In the father’s mind, eternal Justice is everything Jesus has done for us as ours, which is genuinely so. Justice is a substitution. It is in identification; it is in representation. That is the wisdom of God. The Bible is a legal document containing two testaments or covenants. In the New Testament, some adjustments were made; one of these adjustments is that we have access to the throne of Christ and can reign with him.
When God raised Jesus from the dead, he made him sit at his right hand in the heavenly places far above principalities and power and Dominion and night and every day in the world and in what is to come. Did you see that in the mind of Justice, you are the one being without you right there when God intrudes Jesus Christ, our substitute is meant to ensure us with him, and he did and told us with him?
The Holy Spirit witness in the revelation of Jesus Christ gives it to the apostle Paul and the other Apostles in the epistles.
We are Alive in Christ Prayer for Today
Lord, I believe I have a place in you. You have been enthroned at the right hand of God, and you reign forever. We have access to this throne because we believe in you, and you have paved the way for us. I know that you will give me access to the throne. We are alive in you, Lord. Amen.
