Welcome, dear friend. It is a blessing to gather with you once again to reflect on the words of Jesus as we seek to grow deeper in our faith. In today’s Daily Devotional for June 10, The Weight of Our Example, we look at how the smallest choices we make can have a lasting impact on those around us.
The Weight of Our Example – Daily Devotional for June 10
“Therefore, anyone who sets aside one of the least of these commands and teaches others accordingly will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 5:19)
Little Choices Matter
We often think that our faith is defined by the big decisions or the loud public gestures.
Yet, Jesus points us to something else entirely. He talks about the “least” commands. He invites us to pay attention to the details of our daily walk. It is easy to focus on the major rules of life, but true character is built in the small moments.
When we choose to be honest in a private conversation, to show patience when no one is watching, or to hold onto our integrity when it would be easier to let it go, we are teaching others through our actions. We are building a life that mirrors the heart of God. Every small obedience is like a seed that grows into something that points others toward the Kingdom.
Your life is a sermon that people read every day, whether you realize it or not.

Prayer for Today
Lord, thank You for the grace to follow You in both the big and small things. Please forgive me for the times I have dismissed the little details of my conduct as unimportant. Give me a heart that values Your teachings, no matter how small they may seem. Help me to be a faithful witness in my everyday life so that my actions honor You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
To You
What is one small area of your life where you have been tempted to be lax? Today, how can you practice being faithful in that one detail to better reflect God’s love to others?
