God will never leave us – Prayer for Lent #day 14. During this period, it is no doubt that the flesh will want to stop us from completing this Lent. It is not easy but with the power of God, we will be strengthened to go further and never stop going. Let’s tell God to help us to keep going.
Bible Verse for Today
“And they will tell it to the inhabitants of this land: for they have heard that thou LORD art among this people, that thou LORD art seen face to face, and that thy cloud standeth over them, and that thou goest before them, by day time in a pillar of a cloud, and in a pillar of fire by night.” (Numbers 14:14)
The presence of the Lord is important in our lives. We need it to be successful in everything we do. The Israelites went into the wilderness – the wilderness is not a good place but they were lucky because God went with them. In the day a pillar of cloud follows them and in the evening a pillar of fire. Every time God was always with them and did not leave them alone. They were able to go through the wilderness because of the presence of God.
The presence of God carries power – the presence of God shows the way and will never anyone to get lost. During this Lent, what we need is the presence of God. This presence should go with us and make the things we do perfectly. Without the presence of God, there are many things that we will face and it will be hard for us to face them and overcome them.
The Lord has promised that he will never leave us in Deuteronomy 31:6 “Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the LORD your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.”
This is God telling us not to worry about anything – He promised that He will never leave us alone. This means that anytime our enemies want to attack us, He will fight for us. During Lent, it is sure that some challenges will surface – that is the time when we will see the presence of God at work.
The presence of God in our lives will also give us the power of God so that we can fight and conquer in the name of Jesus.
God Will Never Leave Us for Today
Dear Lord, I want to thank you because you have promised that you will go with us and never leave us. During this Lent period, I pray that your presence will go with me. All the challenges that may want to be raised against me, Lord, help me to overcome them so people can see you are my God. Amen.
