UNDERSTANDING THE WILL OF GOD Lent #day 13

understanding the will of God

Understanding the will of God – Prayer for Lent #day 13. No doubt we all have our plans. We make a business plan, we have a schedule and we want to make it possible. We should also consider that God has plans for our lives. The plans of God are good ones. One of His plans for us is to make our plans work. Let us allow the will of God to stand.

Bible Verse for Today

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” (Jeremiah 29:11)

The will of God for our lives is a good one, we can be sure of that. God will not stop us from following our plans. We can choose to do according to our plans but the plans of God are important. We need to understand the will of God for our lives.

Knowing the things that God wants for us helps us to move far in life. Many people in the world have done things but they have never contended with all of their achievements – some of these people feel that something is missing.

No matter how successful we are, we will still have that feeling that we have not done enough. All of these things are the plans of God for us. What God has created us for. The will of God for us is to remain holy, the will of God is that we serve Him all the time, the will of God is for us to be great.

One of the wills that we might not know about is thanksgiving. God wants us to give thanks all the time for all He has done. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 “In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”

In whatever we do, giving thanks must be the first thing. No matter what we feel, we must always thank God. Thank for our business plans, for our families, for our lives, and His will for our lives, we have to thank Him for that. We should also thank Him because He will reveal His will for us.

Understanding the Will of God Prayer for Today

Dear Lord, thank you for what you have planned for me, they are good plans and not a bad one. Without you, I will not be here today – it is your will that I am alive. I believe that you will open my eyes to see your will for my life. Thank you for giving me gift of understanding your will for my life. And I believe you will open my eyes to see why you have created me. Amen.
