The peace of God. Peace may not necessarily mean the absence of war. Nevertheless, a man who lives by the grace of God carries true peace in his heart as a gift received from God.
Bible Verse about Peace of God
“Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” (John 14:27)
Once, a lecturer told his art students to draw and art portraying peace. He gave them some period to think about the assignment and later do it and submit it.
The art students were so enthusiastic and creative as the winner of the competition was going to receive an award. Then time to submit their art arrived. They all presented their creative skills to their lecturer.

The lecturer enjoyed going through the different artistic drawings that portray peace. For example, some students drew pictures of lovely landscapes with calm weather and birds flying in the sky, and some drew pictures of a crowd moving in the street. But neither of those pictures won the competition.
A guy drew a picture of the middle of the ocean; the weather was not good, so the sea was full of waves here and there. In the middle of the ocean stood a rock surrounded by waves. In between the rock was a massive crack in which a small bird had to build its nest there.
Now as the wind was blowing and the waves beating upon the rock, the bird was calmly lying on its nest, not moved by the weather around. So from the early description, peace is not necessarily the absence of war but the inside calmness in the midst of the storm.
“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6-7)
God desires us not to live lives full of anxiety and worries but instead put our complete trust in Him, His Word, and its promises.
Prayer for Today
Our Lord God, we thank you for assuring protection and providence of our needs. Therefore, we choose not to be anxious for nothing but complete trust in You for us to experience the peace of God in our lives.
May all the storms in our lives not determine the level of our peace but help us develop internal calmness even in the middle of the storm. A peace that will guard our hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Amen.
